Blog 11: Holiday Project Update

1. I have scheduled my hours for my mentorship to equally layout enough hours for the minimum 50 hour requirement and another 30 for the first independent component.

2. The most important thing that I learned was what to prioritize for my senior project and the source of what I learned would be the LA superior court and the employees that work there.

3. I would ask a local lawyer because that lawyers responses could really benefit me with fine tuning the answers to my essential question.

Today I finally started my mentorship and have secured  four hours out of the 120 hours that I have planned.

Blog 9: Lesson 1 Reflection

1. I am most proud of how well I was getting across to the audience and how they felt very engaged because that is something that I don't usually notice in previous presentations.

2. I would give myself a P. The reason why I believe that I deserve a P was because I was engaging and explained my topic thoroughly but it did not seem to go above expectations.

3. What really worked for me was the everyday life examples; that really helped me get the message across a lot better.

4. I might want to explain certain things a bit more I fell as if I rushed through some things without knowing if everyone had clarity on it.

Extra November Blog

I still have yet to acquire a mentor but I have a pending offer from A law Firm of Michael D. Payne in West Covina.

1. "What is the best method that a negligence lawyer use to ensure their case wins?"

2. Example EQ:

"What is the best method that a negligence lawyer use to ensure their case wins?"

  • reference back to other documents that can lower credibility of your opponent
  • Look back into controversial events that your opponent might have committed
3. The most important source that I have used so far was a Law review explaining the constitutional status of Tort Law that really helped explain what can be won from such trials as well as what applies.

4.N/A at the moment.

Bonus October Blog

So I have still not been able to get a mentor however I have sent an application to the Los Angeles Superior Court for any available internships. Sooner or later I should get a call or notification back from them to see where it might be best to place me as well as a formal interview and a background check. That should be any day now.
